Al Salam School is a community-oriented educational facility located in Idlib, Syria, designed to provide a safe, dignified, and flexible learning environment for children. The project is organized around a clear linear layout that frames a protected internal courtyard, allowing outdoor play, gathering, and informal learning to become part of the daily school experience. Academic spaces are arranged along a clear circulation spine, ensuring clarity of movement and visual supervision while maintaining calm and order. The site strategy prioritizes secure access, separation of community service and educational zones, and generous outdoor areas including playgrounds and sports courts. Phased planning allows the school to expand over time without disrupting its core spatial logic. Natural light, simple massing, and robust construction define an architecture that is resilient, economical, and rooted in human scale. Al Salam School is conceived as more than a building—it is a stable civic anchor that supports education, community, and hope.
