Narinj Yafour
Narinj Yafour is a visionary masterplan conceived as a catalyst for Syria’s long-term reconstruction, rooted in dignity, community, and collective renewal. Located in Yafour, just 20 minutes from central Damascus, the project combines peaceful living with strong connectivity to the capital. The masterplan is inspired by the structure of the Narinj (orange) tree, a symbol of growth, resilience, and rootedness. A central boulevard forms the trunk of the city, hosting civic, business, and cultural life, from which four main mixed-use branches extend into the neighbourhoods. These branches are anchored by public plazas that act as gateways and community hubs, integrating schools, clinics, and shared facilities. Residential “leaves” unfold beyond, forming human-scaled, family-oriented clusters designed for safety, walkability, and belonging. Richly layered public, semi-private, and private green spaces weave through the plan, reinforcing social interaction and environmental comfort. Narinj Yafour is more than a development - it is a contemporary Syrian city shaped by heritage, purpose, and a forward-looking vision.
